GRIVA Fall Conference FAQ

How do I purchase a ticket online?

If you’re a GRIVA member, log in first. If you’re not a member and do not intend to join at this time, then skip to the second step (“Go to the Event Page”)

  • Log In via the Member Login tab
    • If you’re a GRIVA member and have already set up a password using our member portal, log in first here
    • If you’re a GRIVA member but have not yet used the member portal and set up a password, see here for more information. Set your password and then log in.
    • If you’re not a GRIVA member but want to join and use the member discount, join first here
  • Go to the Event Page here
  • Scroll down to the Tickets section near the bottom. Click the plus sign to increase the quantity from 0 to 1 and then click “Get Tickets”
    • NOTE: The price will appear to be the non-member price until you get to checkout where the member discount will be applied for members logged in.
  • Fill out the form and click “Checkout Now”
  • Click the “Pay with PayPal” button if you wish to pay online (you do NOT have to have a PayPal account) OR choose the option to pay by check if you intend to mail a check. Make the check payable to GRIVA and mail to:
    • GRIVA Fall Conference
    • PO Box 29178
    • Henrico VA 23242-0178
  • Click Place Order and you’re done!
  • A few days before the conference, you will receive an email with a link to attend the conference, the conference handouts and a form to indicate door prize preferences. The email will come from mail@griva.org (via Mail Chimp), so please add this email address to your address book to ensure you receive our emails.

How am I supposed to log in? I’m a member but I haven’t used this newfangled website yet.

I don’t have a PayPal account

No problem! You can still use PayPal without creating an account – you’ll be given the option to just enter your credit or debit card information for one-time use. But if you really don’t want to use it, you can pay by check.

My confirmation email didn’t have any details. Did you get my order?

If you got a confirmation email, we did get your order. But if you chose the option to pay by check, your order is on hold until we receive your payment. Then you’ll get another email with more information.

Where’s the syllabus? I’ve got to have my handouts!

Will there be door prizes?

Of course! We’ll send paid registrants a form to indicate interest in the door prizes to ensure you’re only entered to win those prizes that interest you the most.

I can’t attend after all. Will there be recordings?

Yes! Paid registrants will be able to view recordings for 30 days after the conference. We’ll email the links when videos are ready.
