Want to give back to the genealogical community? You can now donate right here on our website! We have a Historic Preservation Fund to help with record conservation, the Andrew Hogwood Memorial Fund to help with scholarships, and GRIVA General Donations if you want to just help GRIVA out, which we greatly appreciate. You can donate as much or as little as you’d like. You can also add donations to your cart when buying conference tickets, or you can do it separately anytime you’d like.
In August 2026, the GRIVA Board agreed to donate $1,500 to Friends of the East End Cemetery, Inc. This donation will support Friends of the East End Cemetery with their current project, a video featuring an oral history with Janith Libron. And in July, the GRIVA Board agreed to donate $3,000 to the Pamunkey Indian Museum and Cultural Center. With these funds, the Pamunkey Indian Museum and Cultural Center will commission three Pamunkey artists to create a graphic illustration to be printed on perforated vinyl window cling material. This will provide striking visuals for the front of the building while ensuring visitors inside can still see through the windows.
We’ve also previously supported St. John’s Church Foundation to repair gravestones at Historic St. John’s Church, the Library of Virginia to preserve maps, and more!
Your donations help us fund projects like these, as well as to keep education programs such as this one tonight. Thank you!
